Vision, Mission and Values of the NCBI
NCBI is a not for profit charitable organisation which provides support and services nationwide to people experiencing sight loss.
We also provide a range of services to public and private organisations to make sure that their services are accessible to people who are blind and vision impaired.
NCBI is celebrating a phenomenal 80 years of providing vital services to people living with sight loss.

NCBI is a registered charity (CHY 4626). NCBI’s Board of Directors, under the Chairmanship of Margaret McDowell, is responsible for the total service of the organisation.

The Research and Policy Department supports and conducts research relating to sight loss in order to ensure the continued provision of innovative and relevant services by NCBI and the public and private sectors.
