Who We Are and What We Do
NCBI, the national sight loss agency, is a not for profit charitable organisation which provides support and services nationwide to people experiencing sight loss.
We also provide a range of services to public and private organisations to make sure that their services are accessible to people who are blind and vision impaired.

How NCBI is governed
NCBI is a registered charity (CHY 4626). NCBI’s Board of Directors, under the Chairpersonship of Kevin O Boyle, is responsible for the total service of the organisation.

Department of Research and Policy
The Research and Policy Department supports and conducts research relating to sight loss in order to ensure the continued provision of innovative and relevant services by NCBI and the public and private sectors.
