A much anticipated dance in aid of the National Council for the Blind of Ireland ( NCBI ) is back on the Donegal social calendar, having been cancelled as a result of the freak rains earlier in the year.
The dance, organised by Muff woman Bridie MacNally, is now pencilled in for the 1st December to kick off the Christmas festivities.
Bridie says that the event is set to be bigger and better now that “People have had more time to look forward to it!”
“Well I have put the work in, the local business community has been great, I have received many raffle prizes,’ Shandy’ is providing the entertainment so all the groundwork has been done”!
Bridie has first hand knowledge of sight loss as three of her family members were diagnosed with visual impairments.
“The NCBI does an incredible job for people who are blind or vision impaired and I like to help and do my bit as I have seen the work they do”.
So, what are you waiting for, get practising your steps!
The dance gets underway at 10pm at the Halfway House in Burnfoot.
