The 2017 Kerry Rose Breda O’Mahony is getting used to second glances since she won the coveted title but she proved that NCBI charity shops are definitely worth looking into when she graciously accepted the challenge of a fashion makeover … budget style!
The 27 year old Lecturer from Rathmore, Co.Kerry proved her winning ways when she graciously accepted the offer to model for the shoot in a bid to show just what treasures are available at the NCBI shop in Ashe St, Tralee.
Though readily admitting that she is not normally a visitor of charity shops, Breda told ‘The Kerryman’ “I’m not but today is a game changer. I am stunned at the clothes, they are amazing”, adding “Some of my friends have picked up some fabulous items”.
Breda was decked out by another Breda, this time the Manager of the NCBI Shop, Breda Sheehan.
The hard working Manager ensured that the gorgeous Rose was dressed in clothes that truly showcased what’s on offer at the store, as well as suiting her tall and willowy frame.
First up Breda donned a stunning silk Belle and Bunty pink dress. A much fancied piece, it would originally cost around €250 but was just €15 at the NCBI shop , a bargain or what! Breda said “I adore this, it is a brand that is very classy and popular and I cannot believe the price”.
Then she twirled around in a gorgeous pink Reiss evening dress with sequinned neckline. This would look fabulous at any Rose Ball! With a retail price of over €350, it was selling in NCBI for just €20.
She quipped, “Wow I love how the dress falls, it is so flattering and I just cannot believe the price, it is amazing, I am converted!”.
Regular customer Pearl Fitzgerald from Leith West in Tralee said “ I am so glad I dropped in for my regular Friday root in the NCBI shop. I have bought two cardigans here today for just a tenner so who would be without a cardigan ! The staff are fantastic , so warm and friendly. I am delighted that the Kerry Rose has discovered the NCBI shop, I love it and believe that it offers the best value around and I am conscious that the NCBI is an excellent charity that is worth supporting”.
Manager Breda said “We have consistent quality here, I am amazed at the items that are dropped into us, so many are brand new with tags on. It is no exaggeration to say that we have something for everyone here”. People are so generous and they know that the NCBI is a great cause”.
She revealed that top notch designer labels are a regular on the rails and name checked Versace , Dolce and Gabanna, Armani , Red Valentino, Massimo Dutti and Preen as just some of the highly sought after brands that can be found on the rails of NCBI Tralee. Seven Jeans are also regularly consigned.
