For over eight years Tommy Redmond, an NCBI service user, has tirelessly fundraised for NCBI in support of its services in the Wexford area. During this time his efforts have amassed an amount in the region of some €20,000 — most of which has come from a Dog Show event that he has run each September.

These efforts were recognised recently when members of the public nominated Tommy for the South East Radio/Talbot Hotel ‘Person of the Month’ award. Tommy went on to become the May recipient of this award. Along with his award Tommy received a weekend break and will now be one of the twelve finalists in the ‘Person of the Year’ award.

Tommy says that his fundraising efforts are his way of acknowledging the support, training and care he has received from NCBI since becoming involved over ten years ago. Congratulations Tommy and by all means keep up the good work.
