“Frank McNamara is looking for you.”
The National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2006 and one of the unique projects to mark this occasion is a compilation album of blind performers produced by renowned composer and musical director Frank McNamara.
We all remember Frank from his role as musical director of The Late Late Show for many years alongside Gay Byrne.
“I have no doubt that with the help of Frank McNamara we will discover an abundance of hidden talent out there,” Says Stuart Lawler of NCBI.
We are calling on all blind and vision-impaired musicians and singers to send in their demos to be short-listed by Frank for auditions in September. Frank McNamara will select the artists and choose or agree the material to be used on the album.
All those interested in featuring on the album should send a demo on tape, cd, mp3, mini disc or D.A.T. to Frank McNamara, C/O NCBI, Whitworth Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 9 – on or before July 31st 2005. Original or cover material is acceptable on these demos.
So please get your demo on any of the above mentioned formats into Frank on or before 31st July 2005.
