Public Information Evening on Managing Your Diabetes and Diabetic Retinopathy

A public information evening, “VisualEYES the Risks: Managing Your Diabetes and Diabetic Retinopathy” will be held at 6.30pm, Thursday 31stMay at the Alexander Hotel, Dublin 2. This meeting will be facilitated by RTE broadcaster, Ronan Collins, who will give an account of his personal experience of diabetes.

  • Preventing Complications in Diabetes. Prof Seamus Sreenan, Endocrinologist, Connolly Hospital.
  • Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetic Macular Edema; the importance of regular screening and treatments available. Mr Mark Cahill, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital.
  • Healthy Food for Healthy Eyes. Sinead Hanley, Dietitian, Diabetes Ireland.

7.45pm: Questions and Answers

8pm: Ask the Experts. During this session you will have the opportunity to ask the individual speaker any questions you may have, in a smaller group setting.
