Sunday 5th March brought 200 guests to the Pavilion at Leopardstown Racecourse for an exciting day of horse racing at the National Hunt Finale and to raise vital funds for the NCBI.
We had Dragon’s Den’s Gavin Duffy as MC for the day. He hosted a lively auction, with some fantastic prizes including a football boot signed by Lionel Messi, an Arsenal jersey worn by Thierry Henry when he played his last game for Arsenal which was also signed by the team, tickets to the Ireland v Wales soccer match with the buyer having the chance to lead the Irish team out onto the pitch before the match. The auction alone raised €3,195 on the day, with a total of just over €18,000 raised in total.
Race goers were treated to wine reception while receiving exclusive tips from resident Leopardstown tipster Greg Manahan. A three-course silver service lunch followed as guests enjoyed the last of the jumps season at this pre-Cheltenham event.
