Views Sought on New Look LUAS Tram

One tram on the Luas network has been laminated with a new livery for the Christmas season. The Rail Procurement Agency (RPA) and Veolia, who operate the LUAS, have asked the National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) to get some feedback from service users about the new look “Vodafone” tram in terms of its appearance and how visible it is to people with impaired vision compared with the rest of the trams on the network.

If you see the tram running on the network, then please email info@ncbi.ie with your comments and we will pass the views we receive on to the team at the RPA.

Some of the issues you might consider include:

  • Does the advertising livery make the LUAS tram more visible or is it harder to see?
  • Do you prefer this new look or the regular appearance of the LUAS trams?
  • Would you like to see advertising used more often on the Luas?

Any other views you have on the visibility or accessibility of the tram?
Your feedback will help inform the RPA future decisions regarding LUAS services for all of their customers, so please do respond if you see one in the street.
