National Council for the Blind of Ireland seeks Mini Marathon participants
If your New Year’s resolution to lead a healthier life isn’t going as well as you’d planned, there is still time to get back on track. The Women’s Mini Marathon takes place once again on the 5th June 2006 and the National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) urgently needs your support.
This year NCBI is celebrating its 75th anniversary, having been established in 1931 to promote the full independence of blind and vision-impaired people and to minimise the disabling effects of sight loss.
NCBI provides support and services nationwide to more than 10,000 people experiencing difficulty with their eyesight. These services include support and counselling, advice and information, mobility training and library services. The organisation also provides training in the use of adaptive technology, as well as an employment support unit and job seeking skills programme.
Your support can make a difference.
