A first for RTE

NCBI produced the audio described episode of About the House, which is the first audio described episode to be broadcast by RTE. The half hour programme is a pilot and will pave the way for other documentaries and programmes to be produced in audio described format. NCBI’s Media Conversion Service is working with RTE on future projects.

Paving the way

NCBI’s Library and Media Conversion Service is currently the only provider of audio description in Ireland. The Media Conversion Service also converts written information and documents into braille and audio formats for a range of public and private clients.
