Call for papers for ValorVIP conference

    Call For Papers

    The ValorVIP conference is a two-day event held as part of the Leonardo da Vinci project ‘Valorisation of Project Results For Blind and Visually Impaired People’. Dealing with the topic of vocational education and training for blind and visually impaired people, the conference will be held from 20th to 21st September 2007 in Graz, Austria.

    A perfect platform for experts in the field, representatives of projects, organisations, institutions, authorities, and the target group itself from throughout Europe will come together and discuss the latest issues and results.

    Following this Call For Papers, two key-note speakers will be elected and a number of summaries published in the conference catalogue.

    Topics Generally, we are looking for contributions covering the wide field of vocational education and training for blind and visually impaired people. In particular, we would be pleased to receive reports on:

    • appropriate (sustainable) projects and their outcomes and/or impacts,
    • scientific findings and insights,
    • the implementation of projects and findings,
    • research results,
    • study reports,
    • best practise experiences,
    • etc.

    Language

    We are kindly asking you to hand in your papers in English.

    Format

    Please send the abstract in the doc or txt format. In your abstract, please state the following information:

    • Personal data
    • Title & sub-title
    • 2 sentences describing the innovation
    • Ordering party
    • Involved parties

    Please use the form attached [Word, 279KB]

    Length

    The abstract should provide a one- to two-page summary of your contribution.

    Selection of papers

    From the received papers, two speakers will be selected. The selected speakers will receive free accommodation and flight plus speaker’s fee. Another number of abstracts will be selected to be published in the conference catalogue. (The senders shall give permission to reproduce and distribute their abstracts.)
