The Employment Service of the NCBI receives referrals from service users, training institutions, government services and employers. The Employment Service provides multidisciplinary services such as assistive technology, mobility training and other potential supports.
With the onset of some eye conditions during employment; retention advice, awareness and reintegration can be offered both to the employee and to the employer. The Employment Service assists both the employee and employer in enabling an individual with sight loss to maintain their employment.
Who can contact the employment service?
If you are an employee, seeking employment or training or if your sight loss is affecting your work, you can contact our employment service to arrange a meeting. The employment support service can provide advice on careers, third level education and training opportunities, job seeking and interview skills, as well as application procedures.
