INBAF (Irish National Braille and Alternative Format Association) was established in 2012 and is the official Braille authority in Ireland. INBAF was established to address the changes that are occurring in English and Irish Braille. The three main transcription centres in Ireland are the main founders of INBAF. These centres are the NCBI Library and Media Centre, the National Braille Production Centre at Childvision, and the Braille Unit at Arbour Hill.
