An 8-week online course for NCBI Service Users
Exploring What Matters is a course for people who want to learn how to live happily and spread happiness to those around them. The course reached thousands of people around the globe and its impact has been proven in a peer-reviewed randomised controlled trial.
The course is run over eight sessions, which take place online weekly and last for two hours, and is open to anyone interested in exploring how to create happiness for themselves or others. Its is also an opportunity to connect with others on a regular basis around a shared theme for discussion.
A range of themes are covered such as: What really matters in life? What actually makes us happy? Can we build happier communities?
The overall objectives of the course are to assist with the following outcomes:
- Improved general wellbeing,
- Less depression and anxiety,
- More compassion and social trust.
Course Dates: Every Tuesday from 10th October to 28th November, 2023 (2.00 to 4.00PM).
Venue: Online through Teams (Prior training can be given on MS TEAMS).
Considerations: Participants will need to access the course online. A full commitment for the eight weeks is required and an initial discussion regarding the content and process will take place before a place is offered. Our trained facilitators will also need to take a number of measures before and after the course to assist in evaluation of the success of the programme. Places are limited to 12 participants.
