Independent travel, social skills, bowling & pizza for long cane users aged 12-18

This workshop is designed to be a fun and social day for all involved while at the same time including many opportunities to practice a variety of independence and social skills .

This workshop will include route planning and the use of travel apps to do so, cane skills, use of public transport, self-advocacy and interaction with service providers, money management and most importantly fun and social interaction with peers – bowling and a sit in meal/pizza.

A fee of €5 is in place for this event and will be payable to a member of the Children & Young Persons team in cash on the day of the event.

All workshops are subject to availability, please register your interest early to avoid disappointment. You will receive a confirmation of your registration for this event, your place is not guaranteed until you are contacted or receive an email from a member of our staff.
