Introduction to Uncontracted Braille

0 Going

Braille is a universal language used the world over to enable Blind people to read and write. It offers a discrete way of reading and is available in hundreds of languages and a range of codes to support subjects as diverse as Maths, Music, Science and more.

This 10-week course, run by NCBI, will introduce you to the Unified English Braille uncontracted code. You’ll learn to read and write the letters of the alphabet and numbers and you’ll develop an awareness of the broader English Braille code and how you can continue your learning at the end of this course if you so wish. The course starts on Monday 20th September and finishes on Monday 22nd November, will be run virtually with one practical session. Places are limited.
