
Description
NVDA is a free screen reader for Microsoft Windows that is now used in over 120 countries and has been translated into more than 50 languages. Using the power of NVDA means that people with sight loss can continue to be active members of the digital society, enjoying access to a range of online services, as well as education and employment opportunities. If you are new to the NVDA screen reader and would like to know more, this course is for you.
Consists of 4 lessons running every fortnight. The dates and times for the NVDA Training course will be:
- Lesson 1:Wed 31st May 10.30 am-12 pm
- Lesson 2:Wed 14th June 10.30 am-12 pm
- Lesson 3:Wed 28th June 10.30 am-12 pm
- Lesson 4:Wed 12th July 10.30 am-12 pm
In this level 1 Screen Reader course, we will cover the following areas:
- Introduction to NVDA
- Word-processing with NVDA
- Using the Gmail app with NVDA
- Using the internet with NVDA
