This is a two-day workshop for young primary school aged children. Aimed at children who are learning Braille and who are moving from using the Perkins Brailler to electronic Braille devices.

  • The workshop on August 9 will run from 11am – 5pm
  • The workshop on August 10 will run from 9am – 3pm

Over the two days the children will:

  • Learn from each other, make new friends and share their own experiences
  • Explore Braille devices and Braille technology through games and activities
  • Engage in activities to further build on their tactile and listening skills
  • Participate in games that enhance their orientation, mobility and problem solving skills.
  • Learn small ways to be more independent at home
  • Participate in indoor sports activities, art/crafts, storytelling and more!
