This is the 3rd in our series of transition workshops. The focus of this workshop is Independent travel to and from school and within the school environment. This is an opportunity for 5th and 6th class students to prepare for and discuss the transition into Secondary school.

Forest Bathing Walk – The Nature Connection Series: In-Person Event

Phoenix Park Phoenix Park, Dublin

The group will be guided on a gentle forest walk using a series of research-based nature engagement invitations to explore their connection to nature to experience the many health & wellbeing benefits.

We hope the groups will leave the events ready to embrace the present season with a renewed sense of community, a strong understanding of how they personally connect with nature and with valuable tools to use as they slowly move through into the present season.

Learning through Play: 0-18 months

Each session will be based on a selected topic with time for parents to speak to each other. There will be four groups in this series, please register your interest for any/all the groups you would like to attend. The series will be run over the next four months on the last Monday of the month at 10.30 am online via Teams. It is not necessary for your baby to be with you for this session.

The Nature Connection Series – Summer (Online)

Research has found that by adding even the simplest nature connection practices to our daily life that we can experience the health and wellbeing benefits for months and years to come.

Join us for this interactive workshop in which Sarah Hourigan of Nature Therapy Ireland will guide you in exploring your connection to nature, to yourself and to a community of like-minded people.

Movement is key- laying the foundations

This is the forth in a series of interactive sessions for parents/guardians of children from birth to 6 years old. These sessions are designed to guide you through the early years of your child's development.

Dr. Marta Bielawska will share her experience and will be joined by people who have already been along this journey.

Topic: How to encourage movement and outdoor activities that are fun but also beneficial for physical and sensory development.

Forest Bathing Walk – The Nature Connection Series: Summer In-Person event

Originating in Japan as 'shinrin yoku' in the 80s, forest bathing is an accepted part of Japanese preventative health care. Since then it has been practiced worldwide and researchers continue to investigate its many positive outcomes. They conclude that the real and long-term benefits include, among other things, improved sleep, reduced stress, increased immunity, lower blood pressure and accelerated recovery from illness or trauma.

Long Cane Users Workshop for Primary School Students 8-12yrs old

In this one-day workshop, we will cover safe travel techniques for students with low vision (cane users) It will be a fun interactive workshop with the opportunity to socialise with peers of similar age.
