Follow these steps to delete a Conversation and Text Message on your iPhone using VoiceOver. That’s right – no more spammy or unwanted messages clogging up your phone!

  1. Open the Messages app and flick right until you get to the message conversation you want to delete.
  2. Do not double tap on it.
  3. Flick up or down with one finger until you hear delete. (Note, other actions available include Pin, mark as unread, and hide alerts).
  4. Double tap.
  5. Now you will get a warning that you are deleting this conversation, double tap on Delete to confirm.

So we have dealt with deleting a full conversation, so how do we delete a single text message inside a conversation?

  1. Again, Go to the Messages app.
  2. Find a conversation by flicking to the right, and double tap to open the conversation.
  3. Now flick left or right until you hear the specific text message you want to delete.
  4. When you are on the text message you want, flick down with one finger until you hear more. (Other actions available include react, reply, copy, and translate) and double tap.
  5. Now extra options will pop up such as Delete and forward.
  6. You will have to flick to the right to get to Delete and double tap.
  7. As always you will have to confirm Delete when it pops up.
