Wednesday 1st March 2023, NCBI is delighted that current Ireland Rugby international Robbie Henshaw has just joined the NCBI Group Board. The 29-year-old has previously been an ambassador for NCBI, supporting our organisation in raising awareness and funds for the services, supports and training that are so vital to people who are blind or vision impaired around Ireland.

Mr Henshaw said: “I am delighted to join the Group Board of NCBI having previously worked with the organisation for a number of years. My past experiences interacting with NCBI helped me get an insight into the incredible work the organisation does across Ireland for the sight loss community. Now by joining their Board, I can contribute and learn even more and collaborate with my fellow Board members in progressing NCBI’s many exciting opportunities available now and into the future.”

Chris White, NCBI CEO added: “Robbie will be a huge asset to NCBI going forward and his knowledge, insight and profile will help us to further enhance the reputation of NCBI as Ireland’s leading sight loss agency who are here to help children and adults who are blind or vision impaired. Having worked with Robbie in the past on various NCBI projects, I can attest to his passion for the things that we do and we look forward to bringing that energy into the organisation.”
