NCBI Podcast with Katie Abrahams on Ireland’s education system

NCBI Podcast chats with Katie Abrahams a student who has a very rare condition called LCHAD affecting her vision and metabolism. She shares how positive her school was in responding to her needs and abilities and how she’s had mixed experiences in different universities. For her, good cohesion between disability services, academic staff and the student are vital to increasing participation of students with disabilities in 3rd level as is the importance of public awareness of vision loss.
