NCBI reopens our Drogheda store for first time since March

Thursday June 1st 2023 – NCBI (National Council for the Blind of Ireland) has today reopened our store in Drogheda for the first time since March.

The Drogheda store was last open for the local community on March 30th and was subsequently closed so the building could undergo maintenance and repairs. It is brilliant news that this work has now concluded, and members of the local community can visit us once again to shop, donate or volunteer.

Stephanie Farrell, Area Manager for NCBI Drogheda commented: “NCBI Drogheda is back open and better than ever! On opening day, we were delighted to swing our doors open and feel the incredible support from members of the local community who supported us before and throughout our closure. We would encourage anyone, whether you’ve visited us before or not, to pop in and say hello to us as we have introduced a whole new stock offering just in time for summer.

“Don’t forget, we also always gratefully accept donations from members of the public and we would love to get as many people as possible involved in volunteering with us. We’ve maintained and built our lovely team at the store, and we want to keep adding to that too!”

Although our store has been closed for some time, we are in back in a perfect position to help shoppers bag a bargain and root out some hidden gems to add to their summer wardrobe.

As a reminder, supporters and customers can visit the Drogheda store at 81 West Street, Drogheda, Co Louth.
