Before you make a referral to NCBI, have you or the person you are referring:
- Sought the advice of a local optometrist and been told that your or their vision cannot be improved with conventional correction spectacles?
- Been examined by an ophthalmologist and have they/you been advised that their/your vision cannot be improved by medical or surgical treatment?
- Discussed their/your visual difficulties with your General Practitioner and has he/she advised that no further help can be offered through medical treatment, surgery or through the prescription of conventional spectacles?
Once you have the answers to the above questions and are reassured that you do need to be referred/refer to NCBI then please make a referral.
Anyone who is having significant difficulty with their eyesight can use NCBI’s services.
Make an online referral
Our online referral process provides a quick and easy way for you to request services, either for yourself, a family member, or a patient. We contact all new referrals to conduct an assessment, which looks at what they are having difficulty with, what they want to achieve, and how NCBI may be able to help.
