Video: NCBI Rise Project’s Ireland’s Fittest Family

The entire group who took part in the Ireland's Fittest Family event pose for a picture as some members stand on the top of a ramp used in the obstacle course, while others sit at the bottom of the ramp.

The RISE Project champions resilience, social inclusion and family connections with the focus of planned youth events centred on equality and accessibility to new possibilities and activities.

Over the past few months NCBI’s RISE Project has organised and hosted a wide range of family events. Recent family outings have included abseiling down Thomond Park, an iconic venue in Munster, ziplining through Farran Park and Tibradden Wood.

The most recent of these events was NCBI’s version of Ireland’s Fittest Family! This amazing event saw children and young people who are involved with NCBI get the chance to take on the incredible obstacle course that many of us have seen on the hit RTE series. The children were also joined by their parents, who themselves got a chance to be kids for the day!

All participants had an incredible day and we were delighted to have a camera crew on hand to capture the many special moments that were share on the day. Check out the short video below and enjoy the experience as much as those who participated!

The RISE Project’s next event will give teenagers the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of hurling with the All-Ireland Limerick Senior Hurling champions.
