Working for People with Sight Loss

Virtual Technology Club 22nd February 2018

Virtual Technology Club

Join us from 7:00 pm on Thursday 22nd February for our next Virtual Technology Club meeting. The Virtual Technology Club was established in April of last year in recognition of the fact that for many people with sight loss who rely on technology to live an independent life, it can be difficult to travel to access training or support, or to meet other users and share knowledge.

Our guest this month is Dave Nason, who will be talking about smart homes, and talking us through his own experiences of setting up this new and exciting technology.

New participants are always welcome, so if you haven’t been involved before, please do join the conversation!

Our Virtual Technology Club is using a meeting platform called Zoom to allow us all to connect and speak together. Zoom has a software client for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, and what’s really great is that you don’t even have to install the software to join the meetings.

Our Virtual Technology Club User Guide will walk you step-by-step through connecting to our virtual meeting room on your computer, phone or tablet using Zoom.
